Cycling a 265g tank

I just set up my 265g tank 2 weeks ago and am wondering what kind of test reading should I get before adding all my fishes from a 125g

Ammonia spike then it will drop. Nitrite spike then that will drop and then you get your nitrate reading assuming you are fish less cycling? If you are using old filter that have already been through the nitrogen cycle, you should only be getting nitrate readings after the fish are in the tank.

i would empty some of the big tank and move half of the 125 into the 265 a day before the fish then move the fish this should give it some extra bacteria to establish its self

I've added 2 AC about 2 weeks ago and added 4 Severums yesterday.

Great idea! Will this really work? I want to be extra sure because I will be moving my 3 x 20" clown loaches.

When I was cycling a new tank I put a sock full of gravel from the old tank in the new tank to help add some BB to the new tank it worked pretty well
