What's the championship? If your referring to conference championship, that's a little different than the "championship". I'm sure if you said the championship is on, the majority of people will think your talking about the Super Bowl. Also, there has been no rookie Qbs to win that either, with only two getting there (joe flacco, Ben roethlisberger) on far superior teams. Now that that's over with, time to return my slumber where I rest until next week....

Mark Sanchez also got to the AFC Championship as a rookie starting QB. The Jets were not a "far superior" team. Chances are slim that the Skins could win the Superbowl, but there is a surprise team every year. Remember the Rams with a 4-12 record the previous season and a grocery clerk who's NFL experience to that point was 4 of 11 pass attempts for 39 yards and a 47.2 QB rating. Went 13-3 and were SB champions.
They looked damn good against the saints though, the skins will contend for that division this year.
Those are not comparable to the current format as any "championship" before the start of the Super Bowl in 1966 (and the NFL/AFL merger that went with that) would just be equivalent to winning the NFC or AFC today.
