I could see sometime down the way, but I'm all stocked up at the moment. probably for the next 8-10 years. my oldest fish are only 1.5 years old.
I love the look of your shadow bass.
Thanks.

I'd be in for some Red & O-Spots if you get those going. Poss some Dollars esp. if they were the east. var.
PM me and tell me how soon you'd be interested in them.
Not sure what you mean by east variety on the dollars. You'll have to give me an example.

Hey ShadowBass what are day and night temps where you are at? Also are you interested in trading anything?
PM'd you about trading.
Right now Night temps are in the 40s and 50s. And day is between 60 and 80 depending on when you look...
SE MO is all over the place with temps. Sometimes it's in the 70s mid winter.

EDIT: to ask what a stocking list for a 55 could be if it would include the banded pygmy sunfish, and checkered madtom, and i also like the look of the northern studfish.
Oh you definitely could NOT keep a checkered madtom with pygmy sunfish. They get to 7 inches long and have big mouths. They're more suited for medium sized relatively docile true sunfish, large minnows, other similar sized catfish, adult logperch, and stuff like that. I don't know if I'd trust an adult with anything but the largest northern studfish.
Pygmy sunfish and studfish may not be suited as tankmates for the most part. Pygmies, IME, take forever to find pieces of food. They just aren't in a rush, and they stop every inch or so and look around. You would have to feed heavily to get them food with quick eaters. The studfish aren't as quick as my minnows, but they aggressive feeders, and they will feed at all levels of the tank. Not to mention they get a lot bigger and could easily bully the pygmies as they are sometimes ill tempered.
Pygmies do best in species tanks, but they'd be ok with darters (other than logperch), topminnows, and small killifish.
Banded Pygmies are notoriously hard, if not impossible, to get on flake or pellet foods, but captive raised ones can usually get on frozen foods. They eat small worms, small crustaceans or bug larva, like mosquito larva, bloodworms, amphipods and copepods, etc.
I won't send anyone any fish that are not already eating some kind of prepared food unless they have a consistent supply of live feeders. A banded pygmy sunfish that has not accepted prepared foods is not guaranteed to switch even to fresh frozen, and they should eat daily.
On the plus side though, they are very hardy and easily shipped. The place I find them most has a consistent ammonia level of .25 and other organics. I can probably ship eggs also.

I'm interested in a mean mouth I've only seen pictures but I've seen articles saying they have been caught in Missouri.
Huh. I actually hadn't heard that term before. Looks like they're mainly in Western, MO.
I can't sell wildcaught gamefish, but I might be able to produce something like that, or see if one of the aquaculture facilities in the area has some hybrids.
