Hey everyone,

I recently found some green cyano and I would like to destroy this pest before it gets out of hand. For now I have siphoned it off but I know it will grow back. I see all these red cyano remover treatments and I've heard of success with these products. My question is will the red cyano remover also treat green cyano? I'm having a hard time finding a green cyano remover out there and I thought that maybe the red cyano treatment would treat both red and green cyano. What do you think? If it wouldn't treat green cyano, what would? Please help!

Thanks, ckcdrummer

the best way i found to deal with it is pull all the rock/removable stuff that its growing on out, scrub ina tub of salt water then siphon clean the substrate.get as much out as you can, then a good water change, protein skimmer if you dont have one, phosphate remover will also help, regular water changes untill it no longer reappears, and add extra circulation pumps to avoid dead spots

I just purchased a coralife needle wheel super skimmer 65 for my 20 gal thats breaking in on a 5 gal bucket of aquarium water and I'm also building a DIY 10 gal refugium. Do you think the refugium will help at all? I'm going to buy another circ pump but my question is will the red cyano remover remove green cyano? Thanks
