Here are a few of the shots we grabbed at my place during the NW meet. My 300 gallon is the ultimate petsmart tank as Jeff calls it. I can't say I disagree at all and love every ounce of it.

Parachromis manguense both 13"-14". The female is the largest female I've ever seen in person, she is an F1 Honduran from Rapps that I picked up from from a good friend Fallin49er here on MFK.

RTM pair aka - the stunners. I moved all of their fry the night prior so they decided they wanted to hide in the shadows hence the low light.

Not cichlids but they are my focus right now so in the thread they go..

WOW
Except for the first pic with water spots :irked:, those are outstanding pictures! I love the lighting! Are you using an overhead flash? The Ray pics are museum quality. Great stock, great pics!

Yup yup!

No, you still need a giant common pleco to make it the ultimate petsmart tank!

Seriously.. One day when I'm old I will have a huge common pleco, oscar and all the other common petsmart fish in a massive tank just to figure out what the fuss is about.

WOW

The water spots are there on purpose. When fish see water spots they act more natural so as much as I would love to clean it I am replicating the natural habitat..

Yes on the overhead flash, Modest_Man (thanks again!) brought his overhead flash an SB-600 and showed me how to use it.

Justin literally "spit-shined" the spot of the tank where the midevils were hanging out. You should crop some of those photos in tighter Justin, your camera takes a large enough photo that you won't lose quality getting rid of some of the dead space (I'm looking at you, Mag-Float!).

The photos don't do that male midevil any justice.

Beautiful cichlids, Justin! Man, I can't imagine how awesome it must be to have such a large tank with those Rays hovering above the bottom. I really like the substrate too. You're doing a great job with the RTM pair.
