This isn't really an algae that I've come across before. It's these little green circles of algae that have planted themselves along the glass. When I took a stranded algae remover it didn't do anything. I used to fingernail to scratch of a few but they are tough. How do I remove them? Also pics to see what it is if you can see it.

I cut a slot into the end of my Python with a rotary tool and insert a razor blade, I scrape during water changes in order to remove the algal cells that would settle and regrow, with the old water.

I have had good luck with the blue scrubby pads, but I clean the glass on my tanks once a week with water change

So do I. And this is my dads tank and he's had it for two years and maybe done six or seven water changes. The only not terrible thing is that he's wealthy so he has one of the greats filtration systems that arnt sump related that I've ever seen. I've done around 10 or 11 water changes in it but never bothered with the algae. I tried using the blue pads and it doesn't work. It's practically cemented in there.
