HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLP! Unplanned Parenthood!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If your serious about hatching and raising some fry out of your next spawn check out my breeding thread. I'd recommend setting up a smaller 10 - 20 gallon tank up, so next time they spawn take the rock out and place it into the other tank to hatch. Again look into some of the details I note in my thread on how to deal with fungus etc.. anther FYI would be they will more then likely spawn again 18-25 days after this spawn assuming water quality and diet remain similar.

Congrats on your spawn though and keep at it!

They moved really fast, Monster, lol. Literally did this hours before I picked up a sponge filter and 10 gallon tank with heater. But now that you are here, I see that there's a link RIGHT in your sig. I'll be doing study hall with Professor Monster's notes later today! Thank you for the reminder.

No thanks needed! I'm always down with helping out a sheila that keeps peacock bass!!!

The lil' guy (well okay 11 inches but little compared to the big lady) is starting to grow his hump back and court the other ocell-looking hybrid. I'm not really as jazzed about the two of them hooking up, since they are from the same batch (and so, probably related, if not already inbred), and really don't have as nice of markings as the dominant female. I have a few of the flat pottery dishes ready though to collect any spawn. Always good to get the practice!
