Yea if you really need to know that bad. Then put him in a different tank because that one is over stocked and dirty. Question why do you want to know that bad? Are you going to breed? You said you were thinking of getting rid of your stock.

Yes, planning on breeding jds. So i need a female to go with my big male. My tank is not dirty. Oh my god stop with that. I actually picked up a light that is normally colored so you can see how my previous light was yellow.

See. Not dirty under any means. Just the right side has a yellow tint to the light.

If you want to know flip it upside down, and take a pic of his anus region for us. That would help, one of the JD is either poor quality (body shape) or underfeed.
 
He doesn't really get to the food as much as the larger one. So that's why he is really small. Also doesn't have quite such a good body shape. Compatible to my big male.

That could be because s/he is under fed. If you are looking at breeding JDs you might want to take everything else out of the tank. Also wouldn't hurt to put the smaller JD in a decently sized hospital/quarantine tank to bulk him/her up (I keep spare 55s/75s on hand if I ever need to do this - stock up when you see dollar per gallon sales!).
 
Not trying to crush your hopes and dreams. Just talking mate..

1. Is it responsible breeding to breed not good quality specimens.. ( up to you, your fish)
2. What you gonna do with your fry? (they have a lot of babies)(maybe low quality at that due to parents)

not flaming your thread just talking it out before you do it.. food for thought stuff you know?

Yes I'm planning on future breeding jds so I needed a pair that's why I'm checking this
