Not talking about size. talking about presentation!
I tend to be poor at creativity but I can see the depth of creativity in others works. That means, I suffer from comparison in my own eyes. I think the trick is to find something small and practice making it flourish the way you want. For example, a 20G tank with plants, fish, driftwood, perhaps amphibians is something I'd be proud of doing. Today, I'm sure I'd fail, but there's tomorrow.
I think i've led you all astray. I'm actually quite good at aquascape. I'm talking about hardline plumbing. As usual i've overreacted. But when it comes to hardline plumbing, is it possible to overreact? I dont think so.
I just went with what I feel like a failure at after seeing other tanks. In the plumbing department I'm still using canisters sadly so can't comment on the plumbing stuffs.
Ahhh! Well, I'm far worse than you, I assure you. As lacking as I am in creativity, I am actually that much worse in handling mechanics.
You don't need to have a 500 gallon custom built sump tank to have an impressive set up. there are tonnes of truly outstanding set ups on this site like you said, but the majority of members here have simple tanks below 200 gallons. You really aren't any worse than lots of members on here. This is a community after all where we all learn and improve ourselves and our husbandry techniques. The longer you are on here and looking at other threads rearranging your tank etc the more skilled you will become. Won't be long until you have an awesome set up that makes everyone drool. Just takes time
