Nice love the Green. Proof that Black substrate is best for upper jaw polypterus. How long has he been on it?

I don't know about that...while she looks nice and green here, I actually like the visible body pattern when I had them in the 120g with the Silica Sand. They show it once in awhile, but mostly dark. They've probably been in with the Black Sand for over 8 months. Here's another shot from May '12

I agree with u Ben... The bolder visible patterns look way better.... My lap was as dark as this, almost black with black sand.... Didn't like it much...

I can vouch for this substrate i now have it in my 400 gallon my bichirs and other stock love it!! Leave it to rodney to find this killer substrate!!!:thumbup: thanks for the new sand man!
