Is this hole in the head?

K cool that will sure help alot, One of the hardest things for me to learn personally in fish keeping is to keep a balance of fish, its easy to get excited about fish and get lots but once you find your personal balance you realize that properly stocked tanks and under stocked tanks are just so much less effort and are generally easy tanks to maintain. I`m glad you are making an effort.

Yeah believe me I know it's overstocked. I'm just trying to work things out and if something happens and I don't get the tank for Xmas I will be giving away most my stock.

Ich has been gone for days but she still won't eat and she is very white. She also spends a lot of time at the topic the tank in the corner. She has no signs of fin damage but her gills are still poor.

The ammonia spike could easily have done damage to the gills, probably not permanent. Stress from this and ich could cause her to be weak or still stressed out and that could be why she isnt eating. Still treat for ich, I have seen ich dissapear for up to a week before showing up again because people stopped treating when it wasnt visible. Just like the doctor tells us not to stop taking meds just because you feel better...I hope she perks up for you

I was worried about those pits you see on your fish. when my O got bigger I noticed them too and thought it might be the start of hole in the head. But it is perfectly normal and should be there. for the record, this is what the disease looks like(from the internet, not my fish :) )

Ok ty for update. I keep my light out when fish shows signs of sickness and cover the tank with a dark sheet if in a high traffic area so the fish can relax a bit. GL on the recovery
