Those prices are crazy to me. Supply and demand I guess. You can get senegals here for less than $20. Too bad we can't trade. I would send you polys if you sent me leichardtis and baramundi.

goodluck with your senegal anka. I recently sold by female and I got a message from the buyer that after two weeks it layed eggs with his male. I know another person as well down north of brisbane, trying to breed them as well. I have three ornates on a community tank as I'm not an breeder and just happy to see them swimming around.

I've never bred fish before but I'm gonna have a crack with the senegals. Hopefully I can raise a few generations and then pass then on so more of western Australia can have the opportunity to keep them. I'll be devo if after $1000 they refuse to breed lol

Nah theyre great fish anyways but it is unlikely they will breed most breeders use hormones. Sucks theyre so expensive though I can get albino Senegals for $2.99 id trade that for a $5 jardini though!

Where can I find a good article on hormone induced Breeding? Is there a bichir specific one somewhere?
