Rio Magdalena VS. Gorillus Blue

I appreciate and respect all the different stains that have been brought to the hobby but I'm only really a fan of Rio Mags and Location X.

It's very impressive that the Rio Mag had a 3"+ size advantage and the Gorillus has already passed the rio mag in size!

I wonder if Gorillus have a faster growth rate because they experience more predation as juveniles in their part of Columbia or if it is because they grow to a much larger size than rio mags?!

Jason is the max size if Gorillus known yet? Is it more than 24"?

I'm not sure what the max size is on the Gorillus or if they max the same as blue umbee. But I do know that the blue umbee max's out well past 24" in the wild I can only say that more trips to Colombia and research will help confirm our ideas

That's exciting to hear that they're larger than 24"!

I also meant to comment on the Fact that the Gorillus seems to have a much higher profile then the Rio Mag. Seems they are bigger in every way
