Northwest members get in here: new aquarium?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'll be focusing on husbandry, so I'll be behind the scenes, and out and about. The management is pretty cool about everyone being involved with everything.

What's neat is that almost everything is hands on - kids will really love it. There will be iguanas and tortoises free roaming and almost every tank has animals that can be touched or fed.

Besides marine organisms (sharks, rays, eels, cuttlefish, reef fish, corals, jellyfish, octopi, etc.) there will be puffins, otters, tree frogs, snakes, iguanas, tortoises, lorikeets, and phase two entails a BIG tank for adult sharks and sea turtles, with the possibility of seals down the road. It's not a huge place but should be entertaining!

The grand opening (December 15th) is phase 1 of three phases of expansion that depend on animal permits. I'll start working with the fish Nov 26th.

No photos today, but I'll get some for sure before the opening. If anyone really wants to drop by before opening I can give some unfinished tours.

Duuude....That would be an awesome job! for pics!

Mike's been talking about going to Oregon with a friend who's family is out there....Maybe I'll have to start pushing for the field trip now... lol

Thanks for the info. I might invest in the 1 year family pass. So cheap. Only 60 bucks for 2 adults and up to 4 kids or 100 bucks for 2 adults and unlimited kids plus some guest passes
