anothr nice fox noise talking point ...but.....reducing already historicly low taxes wont fuel the economy ...it really is science not opinion ...spending is the ONLY proven fix of a bad economy ...:)

But government spending and printing money is a short term fix. Just wait until the inflation of the market takes hold. Spending is the way out, but not by the government. By the private sector.

And who does most of the spending, the rich. The planes the fly, cars they drive, lavish dinners, ECT, all fuel jobs. Even if their business doesn't create them, their spending does. And the more money they have to spend, the more they will spend and invest. I'm not saying cut the rates to 0% that's ridiculous, but tax cuts do stimulate job growth.

That's just not true. The middle class do the most spending, because they are the largest group. If the highest income earners were taxed slightly more, and funding was cut slightly to military and some other pork areas, it would have a huge impact on the economy and we'd be in pretty decent shape to afford road, schools and some other safety net programs.

I have relatives that own a business and a jet. Whenever we fly somewhere, they take out a bag to keep the food served on the plane. Very rich people bagging croissants and bagels so they don't have to buy them. This notion that giving rich people more money will stimulate the economy is hilarious. I wonder how many of you actually know any ultra wealthy people. You really think if they get an extra 25-50k they will hire people? Maybe they'll update to this year's Jaguar, but I don't consider that a viable economic solution for the country as a whole.

once again -PLEASE RUN FOR CONGRESS .....in my district...:)

Ive stated my position, anything I say will not change your mind, and vise versa. Conservatism works, look at the reagan administration and what they turned around. I respect your views though and so in the spirit of keeping this discussion open, let's keep things civil.

Thanks LP... I don't even like politicians, of any party, because they're looking out for their interests and not the general public.

I just get frustrated when I hear ' give rich people more money, it'll stimulate blah blah blah'. I've got nothing against rich people, I hope to be one someday too, but I don't think the tax rates of the 90's were excessive, and rich certainly weren't suffering under those rates.

I miss flying on that jet as much as we used to, but I know it's not the tax rates that have made us cut back on using it....

Letting the rich have more money will help the economy in the same way that giving fat people bigger meals will help feed the poor. In theory there should be more leftovers to pass out, but in reality we all know that it's only going to allow the fat people to gorge themselves more and get even fatter while the starving kids are still stuck fighting over the same amount of crumbs.

And I'll vote for dxdx as well

Agreed on that! Gotta stay civil, I like hearing what other people have to say even if we don't change each others opinions.

I will say though, look at the tax rates under Reagan. A lot higher than they are today and the country chugged along OK...

They aren't suffering your right, but if giving everybody a tax cut stimulates the economy, why not? And trust me that money they keep will go some where, now or later. As will the middle classes.
