Cryptoheros cutteri "Rio Mongo" SPAWN

I have a pair of these as well (rio mongo). They're on their second spawn. The first attempt didn't go so well. Question for you guys with successful spawns. Does your female seem to do all the work? In my case once they hatch, my male is off to play with my other female.

Mostly female guarding fry at first, but then after a while my male would get pissed off and take over and not let her near them. Then they would always get eaten by tank mates because he wasn't very good at it. Then they would fight for a day, and hate each other. Then the next day they'd be back at it in love and spawning again shortly thereafter.

I have a bunch of Rio Monga cutteri guys growing out - no spawns yet (I'd don't think).

Also have a pair of (siquia) cons from Rio Monga (and tons of little ones).

Yes - in one of my tanks

They're in a bottom row tank so probably need a heater to get the breeding going again!
