My New Monster can you guess what breed she is?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You have a cane corso. Awesome my coworker has a 9 year old male awesome dogs. In my opinion mastiffs are one of my least favorite dogs to train. On the other hand boxers and pits are some of my favorite dogs to train. To OP take her to a puppy class or get some one on one with a certified trainer and make sure she is socialized around people, kids, dogs, cat, new places ect. Bully breed are rewarding dogs to own I'd handled properly

Yeah, they great dogs. Used to hav a neapolitan, cousin of Corso. They can b challenging, but great guardians. They not fighters, but as they say, they won't start a fight, but sure will end one;) Absolutely agree with u, if trained properly, you'll hav a great loyal dog, and in your case, a really nice looking one too. Props!
Like said, my ex is a trainer, now also a vet tech, and still we very close. She taught me alot...good games like tug-I-peace, to training your dog to greet home visitors with respect...alot of tricks. Any questions, PM me, and will gladly try n answer. If I not sure, will let u kno my ex's opinion:)

I've worked at an animal shelter for two years and you get really good at guessing what goes into a mix breed dog lol. For her I was going based off head shape and coat pattern and overall body shape

Lol at my shelter they always say dogs are Labradors or boxers...

Lol they said my Aussie German mix was Labrador/Golden Retriever

BTW Crazy Mike, props on recognizing the breed. Rarely talk to anyone who has a clue what a Cane Corso is. Even tho mine is black with brindle, when most peeps see her, they say "wow, that a nice big looking lab" lol. I dont get angry or defencive bout there comment, but as they try n approach me, my dog sure does...she'll lean against me and giv that low piss your pants growl. Im not an a-hole, so normally introduce 'Gemma' (my Corso) to them after i shake hands with them. At that point, they kno she no lab, and i tell them what she is....even tho they probably only remember the growl lol BTW mfk, I got no probs with labs, just not my type.

I'm not say all shelter workers are good but mine is, I believe lol. We've had dogs transferred to us and in the transfer paper work said they where one thing when they clearly aren't

I love that low growl. My dog gives a mini version of it. Thanks, I personally pride myself on being able to recognize most dog breeds by name, look, or description. I've spent a great amount of time researching all breeds I have books upon books on different breeds

Guess we got a few things in common then. Dogs n Fish:) Fish more like a hobby, dogs more like my devotion. Not saying I take any less care of my monsters than dog, but dog much more personable

Wow, I stumbled upon some serious molosser guys in here!1 Am so happy.
Hve kept Cane Corsos, Neo's BX Dogues and a couple of other mastif breeds.

I would love to see another pix of the OPs beautifull pup. Standing up, and sideways, is it possible.

And, by the way Dyonisius knows his stuff! so good to see that there are several guys out there who know about these breeds!!

Yes more pictures....I have always been partial to pit bulls but I've had a thing for the Bordeaux since I first laid eyes on a photo of one years ago..I will have to get one some day when my schedule is such that I have enough time to properly care for one....Miguel I remember seeing photos of your beautiful beasts a few years ago.

Thank You K! Will have to do an update. Several of those are dead, to my great sorrow!

I still keep seven in the farm, wild, wild beasts....80 kilo beasts, but they are not my dogs in the sense that they would die for me. Those are working dogs, purely.

Once I retire(?) it is back to the Farm and immediately back to Neos and BX and my two big passions, though never had ( Fila Brasileiro and Dogo Argentino )

I have seen Dogo and Fila listed for sale around here from time to time. They have quite an interesting history.
