I can only agree with what miguel said (becoming a habit).. I've had big aros just lose interest in food for weeks.. just to come back.. I theorize it could be a phase from juvenile to adult as I've noticed this is prone to happen around the 20-24" mark.. I think their metabolism just naturally turns down a couple of notches when they reach a size where they are big enough not to be considered prey..

the temp could also be a reason even if I've had to let it pass 23C to put them in fasting mode..

the aro looks great, I wouldn't be worried unless you get symptoms saying otherwise.. offer food but don't obsess about it, he will eat..

anyways, good luck man.. and by the way.. I'm truly worried if your aro only feeds on muscles.. that could be the problem actually.. mussels maybe :D sorry bro, couldn't resist..

Welcome to the thread and thanks for the input

How are things?

Last update was a day one for one.

Apparently he's just ate a slice of bacon?

Just tried it myself and it is confirmed, bacon starts a feeding frenzy? Hikari still not arrived.... i'll keep you all posted....

Sent from my GT-N7000 using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

Hikari has arrived, more to follow...

So far nothing, swims around uninterested.. I can see the wife giving more bacon later:nilly:

Bacon? Really, is this bacon cooked or raw?

Does he pick up the hikri and spit it?

Do not fret. I have yet to see a healthy fish starve itself to death.

I do not like the bacon idea in the very least.
