Choosing between the gf or the guys!

What part of the state are you looking to go to? I know of a few places around here that hire regularly and are good to work for...if you can meet their standards.

Her brother and parents live in Washington. The farthest we could probably travel to work is Iowa City. Des Moines would be too far until we could move. I think washington is the southeast of Iowa. Didn't know you lived in Iowa...the app doesn't show that stuff. What are these places and the standards involved?

I know people from the Washington area-does she prounounce it with a mysterious R inserted in the middle too? I'm in Cedar Rapids and I know Nordstroms and Whorley are two good places to work if you can get in, and in Iowa City I would maybe suggest P&G. They all pay well and usually are in need of new hires, but have a tough hiring process and high expectations of employees.

Go to the FB stuff for a while, but duck out early to see the GF that way everyone is happy. And why might you be moving to Iowa?

That's the plan. He got a hotel for a couple of friends so we can all drink and just stay there. Sorry, but what is wrong with wanting to go home to my gf at night or heck just even going home!

Its not worth it to get completely drunk and my weekend to be ruined. I have stuff to do Saturday and its not waking up at 6am still at the hotel then driving home. Let's have a good time...maybe get a buzz then settle down so I can go home at 1am or so.

She doesn't. Haven't heard her parents say it though. Thanks for the suggestions.

I am 54. I have guy friends that I have known my entire life I stay in contact with. I don't know any women from childhood. Just keep that in mind. One of my friends dad said as we were going out one night as 20 yr olds, "friends are more important then girls". I thought he was full of it at the time. He was right. I never divorced a friend.

Well went with the friend. There was suppose to be 4 other guy friends I know....just me showed up. They all flaked out. So we went to the OSU rally and just went out to eat and just talked all night. Mostly about how work is stupid since we work together. It was good though. The rest is history!
