sump plans for 370g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
im also getting 2 500w heaters with an electronic temp controller, also a green killing machine uv sterilizer, and some cooling fans and i might just build my own lighting system

what do you mean by add a drain for a trickle system?
haha what does a that look like/do? (other than take away water changes)
which sounds awesome...:headbang2

(pic 3)This is the pic of my sump. One hole is the return pump and the other hole is the drain with a 90 PVC pipe on it to set the water level.

(pic 1)Another pic is the "trickle" water going into the tank at 1 gallon an hour/ 24 gallons a day/ 168 gallons a week. All this dirty water goes out to my yard. The plants love it.

(pic 2)Last pic is the "trickle manifold" running a line to each of my 4 tanks.

Details are in my threads if you need the nitty gritty of the whole system

Edit: (pictures never down load in order lol)

hmm... i think i understand.. so..
you have that 90 pvc set so that when the water level rises above it it drains it out into the yard... and then where is the trickle water coming from?

is it coming from a seperate tank filled with water?

Good question and a source of debate. My fresh water comes from the cold water line going to my washing machine. The drain runs behind all my bushes and I open and close as needed so I don't soak one area too long. I tell myself it's free water because I was going to water the bushes anyway :)
