Anyone ever have experience with multiple breeding pairsnof cichlids in one tank? For example, a pair of Salvinis, a pair of convicts, and a pair of Jack dempseys?

Ive had a pair of convicts in a community tank with an oscar but never multiple pairs at once. Is it possible for a long term tank?

Hoping to have a lovers community someday.

Of course. Given space and territory. A freind of mine has a 7 foot tank with a pair of midas, a pair of sysnpillums and one other pair. Allways fry around....

You'd need a lot of space. depending on species it could work but aggression would a serious issue. What tank size and species we talking?

I meant ten foot tank, not seven, in my post above

This has happened on a number of occasions for me, seems once one pair gets going, it fires up another pair, might be pheromones because many of my tanks are interconnected on a single sump. There might be 2 pairs of same, or different species in one, and another species down the line all spawning at the same time. It is also interesting to sometimes see fry of different species commingle.
