What about Rousey being named first UFC Women's Champion,how does that happen when she's never even beaten anyone for the title?

When ufc absorbed wec they did the same with Aldo and Cruz. They didn't win a title with the ufc but they did in wec and when crossed over they received a new ufc belt. They are doing same with her.
Strikeforce is having their last show so they brought her over. Not sure about current strikeforce lw, ww, and mw champs when they come over since there are already current ufc champs in those divisions.
I don't mind wmma in the ufc but the talent pool is too shallow. ufc is taking a risk with rousey. She's fighting liz carmouche in Feb for her title, a relatively inexperienced and lower tier fighter. Basically gonna introduce rousey to the ufc world with Liz as the sacrificial lamb
I will lol so hard if she pulls an upset but she's probably a 3-1 underdog at best
For the sake of the women's division rousey HAS to win at least this first fight. She's headlining ufc 157. I'm actually kinda nervous for the ufc to jump the gun like that.
But the women did make some exciting and successful main events in sf so they should be OK. Just need to stack that card because not sure how much rouse will draw in ppv numbers

So is Carmouche kind of like a pro wrestling jobber?....Those guys who might put up a decent fight but get beat up in the and never win any matches?

I think it's kinda stupid that she got a belt for doing nothing, but I understand as she was the SF champ. I would rather see a tournament or something for the belt, but there's not enough talent for that, I wouldn't think. I think they should have held out for McMann or Cyborg.
I guess it's not as bad if she was SF champ but that's still not UFC.They could have waited to crown her after she fought and beat Carmouche.She then would be the inaugural women's champion but that would hinge on her actually beating Carmouche.
Dana wouldn't have been happy if Carmouche ended up being the inaug. champ, LOL.

Only reason he lost second fight was because he didn't want to grind out another 5 rounder and get caught in the end. So he tried an UnSonnen like back fist and fell.
