Its illegal to keep natives in Canada because its illegal to transport live fish from lakes river etc.

Also it's bad time to go collecting the natives at this year.

For all the people above, Andrew and i live very close(45 mins) and could meet halfway(22:30 for both of us). Not illegal because he owns the lake, and possibly is the one buying the fish to stock it.

But transporting live natives might be illegal...not mentioned that it's bad timing to collecting the natives during winters as the fish being caught in the cold water, they might not able to adapt to the warm aquarium that quickly as the sudden changes in water temperatures can kill them. Now if I remember correctly, he has trouble to keep the fish alive during transporting. I'm sure that his parents are okay with him meeting up with a stranger that is 45 minutes away just give the fish to him.

What happens if a C.O stopped Andrew and he saw the natives in the vehicle and Andrew do not have any permit for them? Not mentioned that he has no proof of the fish being from his private pond since most of the stock fish were from the fishing catches, not from a hatchery. Honestly, I think you should seek out another legal way instead of dealing with Andrew.
