Looking to adopt a child?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's pretty sad, I know a couple of families that have been trying to adopt (in the us), and just can't afford all the crazy fees. The amount of money it takes is just outrageous, I think if it wasn't so hard to adopt in the states, there would be many more people looking here then abroad.

definitly .... it is all about money first ..child second........

i was just figuring out a WAY to say this Miguel.. i am glad you explained it for me.. and to me.. USA makes it very hard to adopt a child.. and very expensive.. i wish they would loosen up to give more children a chance for a real family.. people are forced to go elsewhere.. and bureaucracy is the one to blame.

It is the same in Europe, Lizz...paperwork and years of waiting for a loving prospective parent to reeive a child. And this opens the way to some sort of trafficking, which i can live with if for the child's sake...but who knows?

As always it started out to be a good protective effort ...that turned into a lot of people making money.

I feel bad for the 51 Russians that were in line to be adopted and already had a family selected that won't be grandfathered in. Including some that were ill or born with a disability

yes it is always the children that suffer ... i heard that they're living conditions are not so good... i hope they continue to take care of them .. without the extra money coming in for adoptions.

Sounded like he had reasons......

Most people have reasons for doing the things that they do but Putin's retaliatory move does not seem to affect this country very much if at all.It only harms those children and exposes his contempt for us,and this is not about us vs, them, more like pointing out the actions of an individual.

Can we acknowledge that parliament passed this law too? Kinda the equivalent of our legislative branch. It has over 600 members if I remember right

Doesn't make it any better but they as a government decided this, not one man.

Well said, but remember that congress also isn't remembered for it's decisions but the president it's under is. Either way it's the kids and the loving families that suffer through all this.
