I just grabbed my first ATF - very psyched! Just curious about my tank set-up. He's right around 5-6" right now, so he's in my 90 gallon. I thought these fish enjoyed lots of current so I added a 1320gph circulation pump to the tank. It's also currently filtered by an AC110 and an FX5. Am I creating too much current and stressing him out, or is this ok for these guys?

Will post pics of the tank set-up tonight because I'd like to know if it's decorated ok as well.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
John

You cant have too much current and you cant have too little decorations. These are open water fish and decorations will likely just make him uncomfortable and run the risk of having him hurt himself.

I cant wait to see him :-D

Thanks guys, I won't worry about the current then. I'll post a pic of this little guy and his tank, and just let me know if I should pull out more decorations.

Thanks for all your advice thus far Rob. You've been really helpful.

Current definitely isn't too much for your ATF. I've got 2 Eheim canisters plus a 1050 powerhead running on mine, and I think he could stand a good bit more flow to be honest. Post up some pics!

how do you know it's a brevis?

Yup. Here's a couple full tank shots and as good a shot as I can get of this little guy. He's quick.

Thoughts on this setup?

He's a cute wittle feller. lol

Tank looks good, classy but not overdone. I like it. As he gets bigger, you may end up needing to lay the flat rocks down so he doesn't injure himself. Also, as you add current you may find that sand very hard to keep on the bottom.

John,

I figured that you might appreciate a picture of a full grown, healthy, tank raised brevis. :)
