Time to face the strange ch-ch-ch-changes

Thanks all :)

Don't worry everyone, I will still continue to be a contributing member of this forum! Pics and whatnot are guaranteed. Just because I'm cutting back doesn't mean I'm quitting! Since I can't have all five tigers or my payaras right now, I plan to live vicariously through all of you ;) :p

You should keep your tigers and sell the rest. You already spent the money just don't buy anymore tigers. And if you already accepted the challenge of moving a 18"+ Goliath multiple times (current tank to 4x8 to new house) it wouldn't be more difficult to move a smaller vatf and tatf. Just move them one at a time.

I just recently moved and it sucked. I didn't lose any fish but just the amount of

With 6 tanks running the amount of things I had to take apart and transport it was a nightmare. I gave away some equipment and some fish.

If I ever have to move again, I will setup a new tank with everything ready to go then sell the old setup, might loose some $$$ in the process, but saves me the headache of moving everything one piece at a time. Fish I would keep, everything else is expendable in a moving situation.

Trust me my friend, I've given it thought. The issue I'm going to face though is that I'm not moving down the road, I'm moving 1800 miles or more. If I get a good offer, I'll even go to Alaska. That's where my issue comes in. When I moved from my on-post house to off-post, I kept all of my fish and just had two tanks going at once for the transfer. Unfortunately, that's not an option with the move I'm facing. :(

good luck
sucks that you have to sell a lot of your fish
but i cant wait to see that Goliath reach 2ft+

Fair winds and smooth sailing whatever you decide to do.....

I totally feel for you man. I'm ex-Army as well, and had to do that pack up and move when I ETS'ed as well. Didn't have fish, but had several snakes that I'd had for years that I ended up either giving to friends or to the local wildlife sanctuary as display animals. Definitely wish you well wherever you go.
