I've shared this here before... I have to point to my earliest childhood memory. There was a triple homicide over a card game when I was a kid. I had to be maybe 3 or 4 this was before car seats. I remember My Mom driving down the street while I stood in the backseat looking out the window of our Ford Ltd. When we drove by a cross street and I saw three Men laying in the street... bodies contorted from running and dying on their feet. That is my earliest memory. It crippled me emotionly. At the time I remember feeling a messed up way about it. I was too Young to articulate my feelings though. So It kinda changed the trajectory of my life. I pulled myself into a shell because I couldn't express what I felt. And often when I did express Myself it was in the wrong way.
@ Kells. Im interested in hearing More. Most of us have some type of Parent issue... I maybe spent a total of 1 month with My father That 1 month shaped me... Lol! Lets just say I love my kids and participate in Their life like I do because I don't want them to feel what I felt. And I never want to be like "Him".

There was this movie when i was young, 90s? I still dont know to this day what movie it, it started with them discovering this human like creepy monster in a cave and somehow at the end it was a bunch of creepy monster thingys loose in a carnaval? Any how i remember after this movie i would want to be alone in a dark room or last one out because these creatures were gonna catch me and eat me.

I never been traumatized by anything that effected me mentally. I can remember a big German Shepard that scared me when I was like 6 years old. When I was young I wasn't allowed to watch scary movies like "Rosemary's Baby", "The Pit and the Pendulum" I saw parts of that and it scared me as a kid.
One of my best friends kept me under the impression that she was dying of cancer for about 5 months.
That was pretty rough especially during final years of school.

Long term, the real effect was a rather late developing social life. Didn't even think about girls until college. I mean, no proper Southern Belle would consider dating a Chinese
real trauma is pretty much of a drag to put out there in public. but uh... my dad died when I was 4.
