I don't understand why we can keep them in the northern side ? Aren't they legal in Canada why can the be legal in Boston even if they escape they will be killed of in the winter right?

they are not legal in all of canada i know they are illegal in sask i had 2 when i was in b.c. but that was 6 years ago.they found a large one in a pond in van at stanley park.fisheries removed it.not sure if they banned them aswell there
