Cichla Rio Xingu

class keeps getting cancelled so I'm a bit bored lol I thought I'd try to get some better pictures. If I keep this up, I think I'll have enough pictures for a flip book lol still can't get certain ID at this size but here they are at about 4.5" now. You can clearly see the difference in the bar shapes. I'll be keeping my eye on the 3rd bar :)

This is confusing because they all look the same. Are you saying they're not? Tem?

no they aren't. my bad, I labeled the top few pictures in hopes you could see the differences but if you look at the tems, they have an ellipse shaped bar where the xingu has straight bars that go further up to the dorsal. they're all labeled now
 
If I didn't know any better, the "xingus" are looking more like pinimas. Im with you on keeping a eye on the third bar.

I wish they would grow faster. Dying to see what they turn out to be. Keep the updates coming.
 
Nice young bass, I got my bass from fish h3aven as Rio orinoco tems here's mind are they tems?? I know its not an I'd but my pbass look like Ur xingus

they're the same tems I got from fish h3aven, the "red eyes, red top fins" he sold them as, but yea, I guess it's pretty hard to see the differences if you haven't got one side by side
