The store didn't know what they had they just labeled it Marble Gar is what there wholesaler listed it as. I spotted it didn't tell them I knew what is really was I just snatched it up.

Yeah, it is nice to get deals, but watch the fuz with that one. There more mods with the god syndrome around as of late. They may be on you for that fish/ location.

On a side note how's that wallago attu doing? Must be getting good size by now.

I hear ya.. traded it away long time ago...

Yep the Wallago is getting big moved it into my 300 with the big boys. He's about 20" I guesstimate check my vid below you can see him.

Not so far in fact some fish pick on him. I've noticed his whiskers had gotten nipped on. When he was smaller he ate feeders with gusto. But since he's gotten bigger he ignores feeders but likes to eat pellets and chunks of frozen fish.

Yeah my whole hobby has changed to revolve around my gars. I thought I would give it a try and see how it goes. I hope it is a well mannered fish.

I have 2 gators.....the one I am keeping is doing great! I put it in the 180gal. It is a bit early, but I have increased feedings and I'll be watching it. I am expecting non gar friendly fish soon so I did some tank moving. If it gets messed with I'll just do some moving of stock and move it to my 125gal. I think it will be fine since my longnose are in there. They are a little longer but no were near as thick.

The gator I am keeping is about 13" now or so. It is also thick as hell! It is about double my 14-15" longnose girth.

The gator I am selling is about 5-6".
