It is all very good, BUT will the fish be released back in Florida or at least taken to a facility there, or will they be euthanized, which is one of most inane solutions i see, worldwide, in animal conservation?

Fish are now part of the chain of evidence in this case. They are moved to an approved holding facility of proper ability to house such animals and will be kept there until after the trial. At that point, FWC decides where they will be housed. As per the laws down here, they probably aren't candidates for release since I assume they have been exposed to medication by now.
Thats a whole bunch of stupid... one thing for people ignornt of the laws to do stupid stuff... but someone who knows better? sadly the animals get the worst end of the deal.. and I hate touch pools... I have never seen one with healthy animals.
That is a lot of stupid, I do second everything Matt has said. This is really sad to hear about and sad that this is going on. I hope they get a good punishment, they deserve it. I really hope they catch the guys down here who are illegally obtaining the animals too!
I'm still baffled that they didn't think they would get caught. Spotted eagles are hard to get permits for, and lemons are no take at all. You can't just put something like that on display.
Reminds me of the guy that got arrested last week in Miami after posting pics on his Facebook page of him picking up and holding baby manatees in the wild. Nothing like harassing endangered species and publicly bragging about it.
