What's everyone think about the Sanchez fight? Diego is one of my favorites so sucks i missed it. Didn't get to watch but read the play by play and sounds controversial. Stupid fuel isn't on Comcast. Awesome that hunt and Silva got ko's

I don't understand why the powers that be would put the show on a channel that is not carried by what is probably the biggest cable provider in the country.

it was a close fight. I thought gomi won rds 2 and 3. 1 was diego. it's not a robbery though by any means because it was so close. chael and bisping both thought gomi won too. but damn, diego clearly had the size on gomi. he only took gomi down in the first twice and gomi was able to get back up. after that he stuffed everything. it was a dog fight. neither really gaining the upper hand or land anything huge. but diego just isn't the same man. he used to take guys down at will and beat the will out of his opponent. after the beating he took from bj, he was never the same imo. it's like bj took his soul
there was a lot of decisions. I think on the prelims only one ended by ko. then the hunt/struve fight. oh that was pretty good. so awesome to see two big heavyweights go all out like that. struve is the tallest guy who fights the shortest. he never gains any advantage even though he towers over his opponent and has a huge reach advantage. but damn he has an iron chin. the finish looked like it was gonna knock Struve's head into the 10th row. on the post fight show, they said struve tweeted he has a broken jaw. "45 min in the hospital, my jaw hurts so bad, somebody choke me out already" or something along those lines. what a warrior, that kid is. but these beatings he is taking is gonna make him old real quick.
and the main event, wow. I like both guys. im a fan of stann's because he's such a nice cool dude. I've never seen stann be so aggressive and attack with such ill intentions. he went after wand like he owed him money in the first. he engaged aggressively and initiated the trades. he knocked wand down like 3 times. he got knocked down himself once during one of the exchanges. second round, stann starts being more technical. choosing his strikes, using footwork. and out of no where wand lunges in with a straight right while stann counters with his own right but wand lands first and stann goes stiff for a split second while wand lands a left as stann falls. he's not out completely but he covers and want pounces. he lands like 2 punches to put stann out and lands another before the ref jumps in.
it was amazing to see wand get a win against a top ten in japan.
Top 10? I love stann and I barely consider him a top 10 middleweight. He isn't even a top 100 205'er
can you list your top ten middleweights?
and no way he isn't top 100 light heavyweight. hard to think there's a hundred guys that's ranked above him.

What's caffeine? Its a chemical you put in your body cause you're feeling tired... Where do you draw the line? You're allowed take this drug, because your body doesn't make enough of it, but you cant take that?? Bann everything that's not a food then. You hurt your knee, too bad no aspirin.
Bas made his own best counter-point. It still doesn't improve your technique. So whats the big deal if your muscles are bigger, you still gotta know how to defend that armbar...
Yeah, I should say I loved watching Diego fight before the BJ fight. I still like him, he's just not what he used to be. So bummed that Lombard lost.
It still does give you an advantage, but I don't think it's as big of a deal as it seems most people do.
I've heard differing things on being on marijuana for a fight, things that can help or hurt you depending on your reaction to it, but it's absurd that having metabolites from weeks ago, even days, is illegal. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with testing for someone being high on it when they're fighting, but we don't test for caffeine, which has been known to kill people. Why is caffeine and nicotine alright? I don't really want to get into a lengthy argument about performance enhancing drugs because it's been talked about ad nauseum and people probably aren't going to change their opinions, but some things are just absurd to me.
