It's sad that the dogs are blamed not the owner. Take micheal Vick for example I honestly think he deserved more time then what he got.

That POS,refuse to call him a man, got no where near what he deserved. He should have a job shoveling out the kennels at a shelter, not making millions on the field and should never be allowed near a dog again. The only reason I watch the Eagles is to see him get hit and hear the team whine about their bad luck. Guess karma does work.

As to the dogs, having interacted with hundreds of different dogs, many pits, I've had my worst experiences with other breeds but never them. I went outside when I found three running loose in my yard. Girl across the street was the only other one brave enough to come out, we watched the burly manly men next door hide in their vehicles until we got them rounded up and secured. They were just scared but people freak out and animals react.

As to what you are trying to accomplish, I applaud your efforts and wish you luck. I too try to pass on this type of info as often as possible but don't see real change occuring until people stop using them, and other objects, as penile enhancement.

I have nothing against pits, I just don't really like how they look, any dog can really be an affectionate dog, but if there's a couple that aren't that happen to be the same breed they get a bad name ie. pit bulls

That sounds like what happen at my brother in laws. We was going there for a party and when we pulled up there was a brown pit loose. The dog started coming toward us and my brother in law and wife jumped back in the car. I was the only one that got out. The dog came up I stood still and let it sniff my hand and jeans. Then I tried to jump in the van so I pushed it back and told it to go home. The dog left. I later saw it again but this time I toke it to find its owner. The dog was well trained and super friendly, I thought of taking it home but my wife was worried my pit wouldn't accept him so we brought him to a shelter.

My wife and I have done that on many occasions including a pit once. Saw her running loose on a busy street, tracked her down, got her to jump in the car and spent two hours driving around looking for the owner, no collar. Found him and returned her safe and sound. I love happy endings.

I don't see it as abuse if its absolutely needed for the dogs health or job but if its done at the owners leisure it's abuse.

I found my very first pit like that. Just she followed me home from school and I was riding a bike.
