hello, i just added a 10 inch fire eel to my green terror tank and they seem to be getting along just fine, i dim the lights and watch them interact as "Eelmo" swims around and discovers the tank "can you believe i only paid 25$ for it!!!!!! heh.. love these prices!
anyhooo.., at the store i have watched them feed the fire eels frozen blood worms and they love it even the larger ones, so now it has been 4 days and Eelmo still doesnt like eating anything, no shrimp or bloodworms.....

i read somewhere to try strips of raw squid? is that ok? if so i would love to try it and give squid to my other fish as well, its easy to get and so cheap here....

thank yall..

I had this problem with mine and he would only eat live shrimp, but mine was wild caught so he was only used to eating live foods, as for the squid, I think it will be fine, just rinse them properly and I would cut them up fairly small because of the squids texture I would worry about them choking on a big piece but that's all I can see you having to worry about :)

well here in saudi arabia we dont come by earth worms easily plus we live in an apartment so ... if we had a yard id be digging them up pronto! well, at least i know they DO eat the frozen blodd worms cuz i watched them several times before i bought the eel, but i know they need a better variety in their diet and squid and shrimp will let me squeeze in some pellets so he/she can get more vitamins,,,,
thanks for the tip

Vitamin soak is just a liquid vitamin supplement, sand is better for them but plenty of people keep them with fine gravel, and I think black worms are only available in America, I haven't seen them In the uk either
