BT is organic, it is a biological pesticide no chemicals. I grow nothing but organic and yeah I have problems with pests sometimes but not so much anymore. I have so much diversity in my garden that the beneficial insects keep everything at bay. Once in awhile I might have to spray some aphids or remove a few caterpillars by hand but that is it.

Another thing occurred to me too. You can try Diatomaceous Earth. It is another organic way of dealing with pests. I just can't recall if it is very effective with caterpillars. I've used it on earwigs and it helped the problem. What it does is kill them by physical means. The powder is sharp at a microscopic level. It works by cutting their bodies and drying them out.
