I have a 6x2x2 with inlets and spraybars at each end.

I am having a problem with poop collecting in a dead spot.

Originally it was and 1/3 of the tank length from the LHS, so I got a wave maker and aimed it at the poop and it shifted it to a different point in the tank.

So I got another powerhead to cast more circulation through the tank, now I have a pristine sand bottom, with a HUGE pile of poop in a 5cm square by a rock.

No matter what I do I can't seem to get all poop to wash into the filters!

Any idea?

Position either the powerheads closer to the sand or the inlet of the filter lower, although unless you commit to a great deal of trial and error there may always be a dead spot especially in a good size tank, in my Oscar tank there is a dead spot next to a large rock which I Hoover every day as I top up evaporation etc

I like when there is a single dead spot because it make it easier to vacuum up during water changes.

I also have a sand base but what I do is siphon just above the substrate and it should Hoover up the waste but not the sand. What I then do is use the siphon when it's not sucking to jab in the sand which aerates the sand

Why do you jab at the sand? I'll have a go a siphoning, by what's the jabbing for?

Lmao I just have a funny image of jabbing at a pile of poo. If you want to keep you sand turning over thn get some trumpetsnails they dig in and you won't see them very much.
