Only fitting that kobe tears his Achilles in one of the most blatantly obviously rigged game I've ever seen.

Karma's a *****, nba.

The commish has no love for us nice try.

it's called home court advantage

Shame what happen to my boy. I blame it on the coach for allowing him to play all those minutes the last 2 weeks. He's averaged 46 minutes the last 7 games.

would be great if we had Phil right now. The triangle would be deadly with Howard/pau and nash when the games slow down in the playoffs

Not true. He needs his cash cow in the playoffs. If you watched the game, you would know it was either fixed or there was so horribly bad officiating that the nba should be ashamed.

And don't bring up the Chris Paul trade. He clearly made the right call on that.

Oh and I do agree about Kobe's injury though, D'Antoni needs to know when enough is enough

I agree with the cash comment. I was thinking the same thing but I will never get over the Chris Paul trade! Kobe is a warrior! His team needed him and he delivered like no one else EVER would have. He's just not as youthful as he needed to be in order to push his body that far.. I wish my childhood hero a speedy recovery.

The thing is, the Paul trade wasn't good for the hornets. Stern needed to make a good trade so he could present a better product to a potential buyer. The best thing the hornets would have got in the trade was lamar odom (!). Only reason people made a big deal was because it was the lakers.

But who cares? Haha. Chis Paul wanted to leave the Hornets and be on the Lakers. That means he disrespected one of the biggest franchises in NBA history and one of the NBA's best players. The Hornets agreed then that should be good enough. Maybe they wanted the cap space so they can start fresh and pick up some good rookies or free agents. That's a ridiculous excuse IMO...

Hornets didn't agree, they had to agree.

Plus Paul never said he wanted to go to the lakers. If I recall he really wanted to go to the Knicks. How is it disrespectful to turn down a trade, it happens all the time. Stern was in charge of the final call, and he made the right decision, it was a HORRIBLE trade. The rockets would have gotten more than the hornets, and remember, he was trying to sell the hornets. Try selling the idea of a lamar odom and Kevin Martin led small market team compared to a young Eric Gordon and multiple lottery pick (which turned into Anthony Davis) led small market team. Cap space doesn't help a team like the hornets

I live in LA and I'm a World Class Laker Hater .... so with that said ...

Not Sad to see Kobe to go out like but it's shameful based on what he has done on the court recently dispite his age, I have to respect that. IMO there is no way he makes it back from this at this current level or anywhere near it. Remember Isiah Thomas had this happen at 33 and Zeke was a warrior as well and his career was done. Dominque Wilkins had the injury at I think 34 and when he came back he was no longer the human highlight real.

Everything now points to the Lakers Amnesting Kobe in the offsean, with the luxary taxes they are going to have to pay plus the fact the will be prohibited from using the full mid level and biannual exception as well as being able to sign and trade anyone. They will be foreced to bring back the same bunch minus an injured Kobe who will still be on the payroll and that doesn't bode well for a 2014 playoff run. If the Amnesty Kobe the Lakers Org will aviod paying 85 million dollars to the league in taxes and could actually make a little noise in this coming offseason.

Bottom line Mitch Kupcheck and Jimmy Buss have alot of thinking to do.

Now on to the Paul trade .... Here's the fun fact most Lakers fan forget to share when they debate this topic. The Lakers were going to receive a trade exception in the proposed trade which violated the NBA rules. Trade expections are given when you trade for a player that is making more then the players you are sending to the other team. This simply wasn't the case with the Laker/Hornets/Rocket tade and if it wasn't up to a few fiesty small market owers the Lakers would of gotten away with it.

The plan once they got CP3 ... use the trade exception to acquire Howard from Orlando and then move Bynum to Philly for Iggy. Sorry fellas this ain't NBK2K12

I don't think they can amnesty Kobe, it would be so bad for pr. But it is a really interesting and smart thing to do.

Forgot about the trade exception, good point.

After looking at a ton of comments all over the Internet, there seems to be a feeling throughout laker nation that the nba is anti-laker. Ludicrous and hilarious if you ask me.
