Thanks. If you purchase that other hybrid ray we will be in the same boat and will have to wait and see how it heals. Mine is 100% better after I removed him from the big tank as the BBSD's were picking at his clasper after it was damaged. That white you are seeing was part of it's clasper but it has since fallen off now it's starting to heal so we will see if it grows back as long as the other one. It's exactly half the size of the other one.
Keeping the midget in this tank for now. Color has gone to crap since putting him back on the gravel. But one consolation is that I was able to pellet train him in this tank as it's not a feeding frenzy and I just stuffed smelts with pellets. Took 2yrs but he now eats massivore and carnivore.
I just realized it's been over 2 yrs since I acquired the leo/pearls. This guy is mature but I am still waiting for the female to get knocked up as she is currently in a tank with a mature bd/leo.

The female is probably 4" bigger as this guy turned out to be a midget. I am trying to breed that female with a bd/leo.
Thanks. This tank is on canisters so to save the equipment I just keep it gravel. I had to put my smaller rays into this tank as the adults are harassing them in the bigger tanks. The rays definitely color up better on sand. Maybe someday I will be able to put him back on the sand.
