Id imagine up where ur at they would be eating bwo's...not sure tho. Try some bwo(dries and nymphs), baetis, march browns, skwalas. Are they eating on the surface or under an indicator? Small bugs are always a good choice. Im gonna pm you my cell cause il be at wk all day and you can shoot me a text or pic of whats going on or what ur doing. If I wasnt wk'n the next couple days id be hittn up pyramid lake.

Good job! I failed in 2012 to land a steelhead. I hooked 4 and farmed em all. I hope I can prevail in 2013. GOod luck w/ the bull trout...those are a rare catch for sure. Where about in Oregon are you Modest? Im gonna try and do a short road trip up w/ my lady and squeeze some fishn in along the way. SOuthern Oregon is probably about as far as we will make it. Pm me if you have any suggestions.
I'm near Salem. What time of year are you going, and what are you planning on fishing for? Lots of nice rivers down south. Depending on the time of year lots of salmon and steelhead. I've caught seven or eight steelhead so far this year (though only two fly fishing), finally getting Oregon figured out.
Check out the Rogue, Umpqua, or even the Klamath. I just got back from my trip - no bull trout but we did get roughly 150 redband rainbows in two days between three of us.
they just stocked one of the local lakes with a ton of trout. it was super pack and my buddy and I were they one ones throwing flies. We caught our limit very quickly lol. here are some pics. Usually I have to go out to colorado to trout fish but even though this is like "cheating" it is still very fun.
Glad to see you guys are still tearing it up out west. Ice off most of the water around here so I'm dusting off the ole fly rod and getting ready. 
Troutslayer/Gangster - you guys know of any decent rivers/creeks in the Pasadena area? My brother just got accepted to grad school at Kaiser and I may be visiting him this fall. Is it worth bringing my gear down?
