I've never met bigrich or Josh but I've met people who have dealt with them and based on what I've seen online I have nothing but respect for them. As someone who has bought and sold plenty of fish as well, I feel the process should be no different than buying from a fish store other than the container/air pump. The seller is responsible for catching and supplying the water for the fish and doing everything that they can to ensure a safe trip. Obviously not everyone follows those trends but it is a good starting point. Also, rudeness is never tolerated. If I'm paying money, I expect the seller to atleast pretend to be friendly enough until I'm out of their driveway...water is cheap but being respectful doesn't cost you anything.

IMO, if you didn't like what was going on, you should have asked for your money back and went home without the fish instead of whining so much about it now.

It seems that you got a really good deal on fish that are really hard to get at that size and they all made it home safe, so maybe it's time to give it a rest.

You can't expect everybody to be the nicest of guys so that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Anyways, you made out like a bandit with those fish!!

If they were near me, I would have gladly paid twice that price to that angry bastard!!

You are a little late to the party, the fish are already sold.

I wasnt involved in this particular deal but Ive dealt with Josh many times and he's a good guy that knows what he's doing. I've never had any issues with him.

I appreciate the kind words from everyone.

I understand where everyone is coming from but once the money was out of my hand they were my fish and I was responsible for their safety back home. foremost , the day before when I texted the guy I asked him if all of the fish were in the same tank and he said yes. I said ok great I am just bringing one BIG tub. when I pulled up to his house he came outside seen the tub and I had it filled with fish water from my set up and he said " your not gonna just throw them into that water right? that will only stress them out" I said no im draining this and filling it up with your water he watched me as my tub drained, while knowing my intention. when my tub was almost empty I said okay let me see what im dealing with. as we went inside he told me he way over filled his sump because he knew I was coming. the tub had about 2 & 1/2" of his water in the tub when we caught the goonch and I carried the tub I used to get him to the tub outside and got him in the Rubbermaid, the water barely covered his back. when I went back inside he took my pump out of his tank and said that's it , that's all the water you can have. I was astounded because I had three other fish to catch. the guy wanted me to get water from my Rubbermaid to get the rest of the fish. meanwhile the guy was pissed off that he had to take his decorations out of the tank to catch the fish . well anyways I got all of my fish into the tub, that is the 24" tsn 21"goonch 13" dorado and a 13" ornate and I asked the guy. you cant spare anymore water? of course he said no because he did not want to let his pump to run dry. so I said you can unplug the pump and give me a little more water to ensure the fishes safety. he said he is not going to be bothered with it. he offered to give me straight tap water. I replied with you can just add a little water to your tank and not stress the fish anymore. the guy refused to do so. the guy was angry that I was wanting water so I filled up my bucket I had and added about 10 gallons of tap water the fish were now atleast covered. I closed mytub got in my car and left that dudes house and went to try my luck at a local gas station down the street and I used cups to fill my bucket with tempered water because it would not fit in the sink. but I got the water to the Rubbermaid after letting it set with declor for a few minutes I ultimately added another 30 gallons of water and the gas attendants were happy to help and were surprised I was going through so much for some fish but I got the fish home safe that's all that matters. im sorry my father got a little upset, he was typing without thinking, everything ended up working out fine just a big ordeal over a silly unnecessary problem

thank you all, anyone is welcome to come check out the fish and the set up

I wouldn't have dealt with that junk. I would have demanded my money back, and he could keep his stupid fish. If he didn't give me my money back or allow me to use more water, the police would be called.

Seriously, he couldn't "spare" 50-75 gallons out of his 300 gallon? That's the same as a SMALL water change. It would have been NO sweat off of his back.

What a jerk. I've met and dealt with a lot of AWESOME people here. And I've never run into anything like this.

He really thought you were going to transport a 20+" goonch, a 20+" TSN, and a 13" dorado and bichir with 25 gallons of tank water and COLD hose water??? What a JERK. ESPECIALLY when he watched you drain your tub that was full of water, obviously expecting you to fill it back up with COLD hose water...

I'm angry for you if you can't tell.
