Here is a pic of my Florida caught male salvini that I'm gonna use for breeding. I'm trying the same thing to get more red out in the fish. I've had a lot of people think this guy is female but he's not. No way to trace back where these fish come from, and the color seems to depend on the fish. I've got two males and both ate differently colored. The other male is more blue and yellow with more red and orange in the fins.
Yeah. You can always pair them up to different fishes. You just have to get them in the mood for spawning.
