So in an effort to get my family to further like my fish keeping hobby, being overly proud Italians I wanted to get a "blue"fish to call Azzuro (which means blue in Italian in case people were wondering). So initially I wanted an EBJD,but with my wolf fish that would be a bad idea,so i thought smaller and figured I'd get something for my 10g. Now online I saw that L239 plecos get to 3.5" max so i figured this would do fine with my little shrimp and clown pleco. So i found a local importer and got myself one for 45$. I just wanted to confirm with you guys if I got the real deal, and to make sure I have the right sizing too :S ( the internet is never right all the time)

Oh man to be honest this fish looks like it's in really bad shape.
I'd feed it well and do regular large water changes.

Regardless it's a nice fish and I hope it plumps up and lives a long life with you

ya the guy i got it from kept a 75g stocked full of plecos, so this little guy prob never got to eat, if you notice hes got a bit of sink eye. Nothing a bit of TLC cant fix :D

Those L239 are notorious for being a harder genus to acclimate, are they not? I'd offer it multiple food choices every day for awhile.

I guess i got lucky with mine because as of day one he was exploring the tank sucking on all the wood and glass. No signs of stress so far

That is the one Pleco that I struggle to keep? I am getting ready to snag a couple and try them again it has been a few years. They are pretty tough to acclimate for sure.

Btw your L239 is a very sharp looking one! Good pick up man!

Just because he is exploring and sucking on the glass you are not out of the woods yet. You still need to get hit eating. And same goes for the driftwood
Too. Being the blue panaque isnt actually a panaque the driftwood does little good. I wish you the best of luck with your little guy!
