Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt too...

Yeah, he was so calm about it too. Even when Hen had his back or double Uhooks...

I think gil's the first guy to defend that well against ben's wrestling. he pretty much nullified it. which says a lot about what kind of stud gil is. dude's got the skills to pay the bills. I felt for him, you can see his heart was broken. he'll be back

Yeah they were so evenly matched with their different skillsets, I think this could turn into a pretty good series, better than Pacman/Marquez

some judges in a courtroom would pass up a job to another judge if a lawyer involved was an associate or friend

it's just not a good way to run something

I believe the judges are responsible for letting the athletic commission know if there is a conflict of interest. if that's the case, I would imagine the ac would've never allowed it. and that means the judge didn't let it be known and should be fined or something

I heard that a ref put a picture up on facebook with him in a saints jersey and he got banned from reffing their games or something

The judges have to apply to the AC, just like getting any other job. The commissioner, who assigns the judges jobs, should have, and probably did know that he trained under Cesar. To apply for the job I'm sure he would have mentioned being a brown belt under Cesar as a strong point to be qualified over the average boxing judge.
The judge should have also reminded the commissioner of his history with Cesar though.

I guess Sonnen can keep his mouth shut and retire now.

that was a crazy injury. I felt the ref stopped it a little too soon but maybe he would've just continued eating elbows. but if he would've held on and made it out the round, I don't think jon would've been able to continue making chael the new champ by tko. that would've threw a wrench into the division

disappointed in alan belcher, he's looked better before. hope his eye is ok

big country annihilates another opponent with his over hand right. that was nasty. congo has gotten badly hurt in his last 3 fights. I think his career is winding down. you can't keep taking big shots like that. they need to at least stop setting him up with huge punchers

it was a weird night. a lot of eye pokes, a dislocated thumb and a broken toe. wasn't too exciting over all but it was nice to see some more strikeforce fighters

Dana is saying that he wants to make the superfight of Jones vs Silva but Silva must get past Chris Wiedman or its a no go....I don't understand, even if Silva loses to Weidman the Jones fight is still huge so what's with the ultimatum?

Apparently Silva will only fight bones if he is given a percentage of the UFC and a few other things including a very large amount of money, I have the link with the statements somewhere.

I'd like to see that. This situation seems to be getting more and more ridiculous.
