So, my Firemouth Cichlids spawned and it seems they ALL made it and are quite the large pile of wigglers. It's been 2 days since they hatched. I'm seeing that a lot of people lose their fry when transplanting into another tank. I've taken steps such as putting nylons over the ends of my filters and raised them to the top 2" of the tank (55 gallon with HOB Filter and Canister Filter).
They are the only Cichlids in the 55 besides 2 Clown Loaches, 2 Chinese Algae eaters and 3 Rhinoceros algae eaters. Do I really need to separate them? I do have 2 other established tanks a 20 and a 10 gallon. But one has a Jewel Cichlid and the other has a Bullhead (long story). Any information is greatly appreciated!
