Now I lower the temps?? My room sits at 77-79 degrees. I cannot go lower. But why drop? Because bacteria likes it warm?

Pretty sure its just a beneficial bacteria additive. There are many different similar products. It can help prevent disease, but if you add a new strain of illness (new fish) your current fish havnt built up an immunity to it yet. Its like how ich is always lying dormant in our tanks - but our fish have built up an immunity to that strain. All it needs is something new to trigger an outbreak.
 
I only got this because I've beaten ich with just using it alone without heat, salt, or chemicals before on a different tank. It seems as though ich isn't the only problem or if it even was in the first place. I'll have to pick some chemical treatment up tomorrow.

Now that I look again he is top skinny. Man this crap happens fast. A week ago he was all vibrant, plump and healthy as can be. This sucks.

probably should get them quickly on antibiotics for both gram positive & negative bacteria- along with the other stuff.

you need to pm the mods of this disease section. I am not well versed in meds & disease, just thinking you need to cover all your bases. ich & fungus, internal bacterial infection and kill it in water too (aerobic & anaerobic, I think). This is taking down your healthy stock fast.
