Thanks. I couldn't see that in mobile mode and my phone doesn't let me switch to full site for some reason.

His hemorrhage could be due to a rupture in either the caudal vein or affluent vessels (do you know if this could have happened when you were trying to get him to release the cory.. Any updates on his condition.. if so what is the condition now that you are seeing.. are you giving garlic.. don't give anymore garlic because this will cause more bleeding.. maybe add some Aquarium salt according to directions.. best of luck

Unplug the heater if your rm temp is 77 that's all you'll get. Do you have a hospital tank? Here's what I would do. Do a very large 75% water change. Add i tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water. Get some Maracyn-Two it's a broad spectrum antibiotic that will attack both gram -&+ bacteria. It could be a septic gastric infection and if it is this will help. It will be cheaper if you have a hospital tank but you might have to/want to treat the whole tank. Follow the instructions on the box as far as dosage is concerned. Do not feed the fish! Withold food during the full corse of treatment. Keep the water as clean as possibile during and after treatment. Act fast. Keep us posted and we can adjust treatment if necessary. This is a good starting point.

Thank you all for your input and suggestions. Much appreciated. Tonight my severum seems a bit better. His swelling has gone down some and under his skin isn't as red as before. His ich has left his body altogether and is mostly on his fins now. All the guppies and the bristlenose seem perfectly fine with all these water changes salt dosages and fishkeeper supplement.

These cories are tiny, they didn't pass his lips though. He bit and spit. I'm guessing like someone else mentioned he got poked near the belly somehow. No garlic, just salt and fishkeeper. I've been using half the salt dosage as I have a pleco in the tank too.

Does Maracyn have an effect on bb or inverts? I can just Google this myself can't I? Haha.

No food? Oh man. This is going to be one angry sick fish. He loves his spirulina.

i understand about your concerns and medications and salt with the tankmates.. i have had this concern a few times too.. thats why when you can you should purchase a small hospital tank.. so you can take the ailing fish out of the main tank.. use the same water as the tank he was in.. so the fish does not have to acclimate to any water difference.... and then you just medicate him in the hospital tank..In the case of ICK you would need to medicate the entire tank of course.. but then the pleco could go in the hospital tank until you were finished with the ICK problem.. Besides saving money on the amount of medicine you would need to use for a small tank.. you can observe the sick fish better..the fish will rest because he is limited in the amount of swimming and movement activity.. and he does not have to deal with tank mates while he is ill.. this takes alot of stress off the sick fish.. i am so glad he is looking better...hope he continues to get well...

I have a qt tank set up now and the cories are in it. The severum thinks these are lunch so they have to stay separated. I'll be picking up some maracyn 2 today though.
