I just got in from work, and found about 300 eggs inside a flower pot in their tank. its just them and a Senegal birchir in the tank. I knew my bp was female, but had no idea the kirin was a male, I was hoping that was the case though. If I can figure out why this website doesn't let me post pics, ill get some up tonight. I know chances are slim ill see anything out of this, as it is their first time spawning, but one can only hope!

Eggs can get eaten for no reason at all. Possibly just inexperienced parents.

I was thinking this too, he is still young and somewhat small. she is 5-6 in. I figure if it doesn't work out they will most likely give it another go in a few weeks

Thats a bonsai flowerhorn isnt it? Youll probably just get more bonsais from this. Bonsai is actually better to breed to bp you eggs may well produce good young. I have heard of kirins and bp spawning and the babies hatched but died soon after due to deformity
