yesterday a friend and i built this stand for my 125g tank that we had purchased a few weeks ago.
$180 total in cost for the stand
took about 12 hours
done in one day.

I really like this stand. Its sturdy, practical and not to expensive. I have the exact same tank. I was lazy and purchased the cheap black stand for like 300.00. The particle board stand is now falling apart after just one year. I have a few questions. What kind or wainscoating did you use,what did you use to cut out the doors, how thick is the plywood on the top and bottom, and how high is the stand?

The wainscot was actually exterior tongue and groove sheathing. The tool used to cut out the doors was a specialty tool made by roto zip. The tool would be equivalent to a Rockwell plunging circular saw, fein saw (or multi tool). The plywood on top and bottom is 1/2. Thicken wood according to load. Finished height is 34" tall.

I like it, it looks really good. Does it have door handles? If so I can't see them i the pic lol
