I can tell you why....African cichlids have half the personality and they are all the same shape with different colours lol!!

Try google up these and tell me if they're the same shape or personality, this list is just a small sample from one lake, it will blow your mind! southh american cichlids could certainly be neat, but be open minded that there are so many other freshwater fish out there!
