Tornado flattens Oklahoma City area!

That's terrible. Just read 91 dead and 2 schools flattened.

Early this morning the media reported 51 dead including 20 children. An hour ago the medical examiner said it was only 24 with 7 children. In the confusion and lack of communication some were counted twice. Still sad that it was even that many and very disheartening to see people politicizing the event or using it to push beliefs.

The guy on thetalk radio station I was listening to this morning was going on about the politicizing that is already taking place.
I cannot help it...... i know i don't live in an area prone to tornados... but you would think there would be a storm shelter for these children.. this is 2013 .. and we give and spend money wastefully in so many areas.. we pour money into research projects... some are just rediculious.. why did they not plan for a safe haven for these children at the school... i just don't understand...... they put children in the bathrooms and then the teachers had to cover them with their own bodies... this is tornado alley.. don't they have underground storm shelters......... i am baffled..
I understand they have manya more shelters now than they used to.
Also, they had a 16 minute warning.
So sad.

I prefer to focus on the good, and feel heartened, at all these catastrophes at the outpour of help and humanity.

Anyone see the video of the lady giving an interview and finding her dog alive in the rubble during it?
